Zombie AU

In a fractured Japan, cursed energy is no longer hidden it’s visible, unavoidable, and deadly. When Kenjaku forces the world’s curses into full manifestation, humanity doesn’t just witness monsters... it becomes part of them.

Any human bitten or heavily contaminated by cursed entities begins to mutate into “Shibito Curses,” half-human curse zombies that retain fragments of memory and emotion while spreading the infection further. Entire cities fall into silence, then into screaming chaos, and then into something far worse, ruins that still remember who lived there.

With Satoru Gojo sealed away in the Prison Realm, the balance of power collapses overnight. No one strong enough remains to instantly erase the threat, and Japan fractures into isolated strongholds. Tokyo Jujutsu High, Kyoto Jujutsu High, the Zenin Estate, and the Kamo Estate become fortified sanctuaries each governed by radically different philosophies of survival, from humanitarian protection to authoritarian control and experimental brutality.

Outside the barriers, society reshapes itself into something unrecognizable. Governments lose control, communication systems collapse, and the concept of currency dies. Survival replaces law. Fear becomes culture. And new belief systems emerge in the ruins, cult-like groups that worship Gojo as a savior, burn the infected in purifying crusades, or intentionally seek transformation into curses as a form of “evolution.”

Sorcerers are no longer hidden guardians, they are the last military class of a dying nation. Students like Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, Yuta Okkotsu, and others are forced into adulthood early, becoming frontline exterminators and rescue operatives in a world where every mission could mean saving civilians... or killing someone who still remembers their own name.

Meanwhile, leaders like Yaga, Nanami, and Utahime struggle to preserve humanity inside the walls, while figures like Mei Mei and Kyoto’s harsher regime exploit the new world order to maintain control and resources.

Japan doesn’t simply fall, it mutates. And in the middle of endless cursed darkness, the remaining sorcerers are forced to decide whether they are fighting to restore the old world... or just delaying the birth of a new one.
