Valtor is one of the most powerful and charismatic villains in the Winx Club cartoon series. He first appears in the third season and immediately demonstrates his incredible strength and cunning. Valtor is an ancient sorcerer created by the Dark Forces to destroy everything positive in the Magic Dimension.

His origins are shrouded in mystery, but it is known that he was involved in the destruction of Bloom's home planet, Domino. Valtor has the ability to absorb the magic of other creatures, making himself even more powerful. He seeks to take over the Magic Dimension, plunging it into darkness and chaos.

Valtor is distinguished by his cunning and manipulative skills. He often uses deception and lies to achieve his goals. His intelligence and strategic thinking make him a dangerous opponent for the Winx fairies.

Visually, Valtor is presented as a tall, stately man with long dark hair and piercing eyes. His clothes are made in dark colors, which emphasizes his sinister nature. He has a hypnotic voice that can subjugate the will of others. Despite his villainous nature, Valtor is a complex and multifaceted character. In his actions, you can see not only the thirst for power, but also echoes of a tragic past. He poses a serious threat to the Winx fairies and the entire Magic Dimension, but at the same time evokes a certain sympathy in the viewer.

History

Backstory

According to Faragonda, when the Great Dragon created the Universe, a small spark of its fire fell into the darkness. The darkness mixed with the power of the fire, and then three ancient witches found it. They gave the fire the form of a man and named him Valtor. They raised him, and when he became an adult, they sent him to conquer the Magic Dimensions.[6]

A thousand years ago, the Wishing Star flew past Valtor's gloomy palace. The sorcerer noticed its approach and tried to catch it, blocking its path with a living and magical barrier, but lost, since his dark powers were incomparable with the energy of Sparx, from which the star is woven.[7] The Wishing Star continued on its way and safely returned to the dimension of light, only to return again in a thousand years.

At some point, Valtor was joined by the ambitious Griffin, who aspired to become the strongest witch in the Magic Dimension. Together with Valtor, they conquered and served the Ancient Witches, intending to rule through fear. But one day, Griffin realized that she had chosen the wrong path, and, betraying Valtor, fled. She appeared on the doorstep of Alfea and eventually joined the Light Team, who intended to defeat Valtor.[8]

When the witches destroyed Planet Domino, looking for the Dragon Fire, Oritel and Marion thought that Daphne and Bloom were dead. And then, with the last of their strength, they attacked Valtor. The Light Team challenged Valtor to a final battle. When they were all defeated, Oritel and Marion used the last of their strength to imprison Valtor in the Omega Dimension. According to Faragonda, the price was very high - the royal couple never returned from this battle.[6] No one saw what happened to the monarchs, but the film reveals that while Oritel was trapping the ancient witches in the portal, he was sucked inside, and Marion followed him, ending up inside the magic sword.[9]

Sent to the Omega Dimension, the mage was trapped in an ice block for eternity. He remained there for seventeen years.
