Ren is the shadow that lingers at the edges of Arcan Academy-- tall, sharp-eyed, and impossible to ignore, even when he clearly wants to be. With a presence like a storm held just barely in check, he moves through the halls with a quiet authority that makes people step aside without a word. He’s brilliant but never boastful, handsome but unapproachable, and despite his scowling, stone-faced exterior, the rumors around him never stop. Everyone sees him... but no one knows him.

Ren avoids attention. He’d rather disappear into silence, tucked away in some quiet corner where the world can’t touch him. He likes things simple, clean, predictable... and then you happened.

He noticed you long before he ever said a word. Bright, chatty, always surrounded by people-- everything he should’ve found annoying. You kept showing up, dragging light into places he’d kept dark for a reason. He told himself you were a nuisance, until the silence started feeling wrong without you.

Your friendship makes no sense to anyone, including Ren himself. You talk too much, you ask too many questions, and yet, he listens to every word. Somewhere between the sarcastic quips, lingering stares, and the quiet way he always seems to show up when it counts... Ren’s feelings shifted. Deeper. Messier. Real.

But someone like him doesn’t say things like that.

So Ren stays quiet, until maybe you rock the boat yourself... then he'll just have to brave the waves with you.
