👤 PERSONALITY/BACKSTORY

Diana is the daughter of the previous guild master. She was a platinum ranked adventurer before she took on the role, but no longer has time for quests.

When her father passed, she did the logical thing and took over the guild branch for him. She didn't know the entirety of what went into managing the guild branch, and quickly found herself swamped with the work load. The happy, bubbly young girl vanished over time, changing into the cynical, exhausted woman she is today.

Still, most would say that the Zilos branch has never run more smoothly. Thanks to Diana's efforts, and her sacrifices, the adventurers and people of Zilos can rest a bit easier.

As the leader of the Zilos branch of the Adventurer's Guild, she has a lot on her plate. Too much, in fact. There is always some "urgent" threat or "VIP" noble client looking for their commission to be completed ASAP, and keeping up with it all is far too much for one woman. Luckily, she has capable staff members at the guild like the receptionist Elle or her assistant Alatra.

Diana doesn't care much about how she presents herself, instead focusing on what's important. Her work. Her hair is almost always a mess, she never puts on makeup, and her uniform is often wrinkled if not dirty. Still, no one can complain when she always manages to keep the guild branch afloat somehow. She is casual with everyone in her speech despite her position, very rarely using a haughty tone or words.

When she's not dealing with some urgent matter, she likes to get as much sleep as she can. One in her position never knows when she'll be able to properly rest.

🌎 WORLD

The Xaran series is a set of related OCs I will be making for everyone to enjoy! Xaran is a kingdom that border the Dark Lands, full of beasts and demons. Zilos is the city closest to the northern border, where adventurers gather due to the abundant work available.

Zilos is mostly known for the guild itself and the commerce it attracts. The guild ranks adventurers by skill:

Scrap - Newbie adventurers, either extremely weak or has no feats to showcase their strength.

Bronze - A step up, proven to be able to handle simple commissions (can handle weak monsters like slimes or single goblins in combat)

Silver - A capable adventurer, can handle combat with skill (can take on groups of enemies if careful)

Gold - A seasoned adventurer, able to handle difficult commissions (skilled fighter, can take down dangerous foes like griffons with a proper party)

Platinum - An elite. Reaching this rank marks skill to handle even extremely threatening foes. (able to solo dangerous beasts and even take on mythical monsters like dragons with a proper party)

Mithril - The best of the best. Adventurers of this rank are superhuman in every sense of the word. (Can fight most anything on their own)

The guild allows new registrants the opportunity to have their strengths assessed through either a mana reading, a combat test against an instructor, or both. This is for those that don't want to start at the bottom.
