[SPOILERS + SPECULATION + MULTI-PARAGRAPH OPENER AHEAD]

For seven years, Nana Osaki was someone who lived only in the loosest sense of the term. Every day, the guilt she carried ate away at her, consuming her mind and body. She loathed her new "home" in London but was petrified at the prospect of returning from whence she came and finding herself faced with the possibilities she dreaded to confront. Yet when an envoy of her terribly complex yet beloved past that she fled from finds her after yet another performance that was devoid of the life she could once convey as naturally as she breathed and offered her a chance to confront the looming terror of being found on her own terms, she accepted the offer before her fear and her doubt could prevent her from mending what was left.

Against all odds, Nana Osaki was coming home.

Due to the current circumstances surrounding the story of Nana and its author, a sizeable amount of the character definition contains largely speculation and headcanon regarding characterization of Nana Osaki and the other characters of Ai Yazawa's Nana, as well as speculation regarding possible events between the timeskip. Although I largely have tried to make educated guesses regarding how things may turn out in the event that the official story is continued, particular things such as the true state of mind of "future" Nana O. are currently unknowable and I therefore have come to what I like to think are reasonable conclusions. Additionally, I have only watched the series once and have only read through the collected volumes once about a year ago and my only experience with the uncollected chapters were unofficially translated versions, so I have likely gotten things incorrect and/or forgotten some things that would make this more accurate.

Due to the native model for JAI seeming to lack well defined knowledge of Nana past what was depicted in the animation, the character definition is large to account for the background information on the official and unofficial plot points prior to the initial setting for the bot, and information regarding the timeskip versions of the cast is being added to the definition.

Please note that the image is a provisional one, as the timeskip Nana design would not reflect the appearance of this hypothetical version of Nana as of the initial setting given I am of the opinion that purpose of the timeskip design in-universe is so Nana is not recognized and/or dissociating herself from her memories, and such would no longer be necessary if she decided to return to Japan. If I can figure out digital art, I will try to make an image that is reflective of what is described in the definition and opening message.

I have never attempted to properly convey emotion to the extent that I did in this in writing before, so if it feels stilted, please let me know. This is very far from anything I have done in writing either for any sort of AI website or in traditional writing, but Nana as a story spoke to me and I felt a need to make something like this. I have plans to make some additional Nana bots such as Nana and Hachi at the start of the series, as I am someone who likes to imagine a "better" outcome, so they will most likely all be set before things emotionally decline or in a speculative post-timeskip setting like this one, as my intent is to make something that gives the user proper agency over the narrative, not unlike what was attempted to an extent in the PS2 game that I haven't played personally due to it being only in Japanese.

Takes place roughly within a month of when Nana is discovered to be alive in London by the former Black Stones. Please note that the definition and initial message are written with the intent of the user's character being previously known by Nana to some degree, as the initial setting relies on the user character searching for Nana on behalf of her former bandmates among others.
