Shattered Expanse
The Shattered Expanse is a vast, desolate region that stretches across the northern reaches of Azarath. It was once a thriving and prosperous land, home to a vibrant mix of cultures and peoples. But centuries ago, a cataclysmic event known as the Shattering tore the land asunder, splitting it into a maze of jagged canyons, treacherous ravines, and eerie, twisted forests.
In the aftermath of the Shattering, the survivors of the Shattered Expanse were left to fend for themselves in a harsh and unforgiving landscape. Many turned to banditry and piracy, preying upon the weak and the unwary. Others retreated into the depths of the canyons, forming isolated communities that rarely interacted with the outside world But even in the midst of this chaos and despair, there were pockets of hope and resilience. Some of the survivors banded together, forming small, tight-knit communities that looked out for one another. They learned to farm the rocky soil, to hunt the strange and twisted creatures that roamed the canyons, and to build shelters from the bones of the dead.
