This is to help people with making bots!!

Just so you know the bot is also made to demonstrate my advice as a bot so you can use it. The bot works as a school simulator where your the main pred so pred pov for user.

So I saw this person make a bot asking for advice on making bots and I tried to post a comment but for some reason I kept getting an error so this is simply to help anyone who needs the help possibly with my own insight even though I’m not the most reliable source.

I previously wrote a long lengthy explanation but sadly I got an error when I put post review so I’m going to shorten it. Take my advice with a grain of salt since I’m somewhat new to the site and currently working on a bot but in general most bots get down pretty well. I think what you could do is if your doing a pred user or pred char then simply specify how works with them specifically like say it’s something user or char can do and then explain how it happens like for example “{{user}} is capable of swallowing people/things whole via unhinging their jaw and swallowing the target. When someone or something is swallowed, they enter {{user}}’s mouth and go down {{user}}’s throat and end up inside {{user}}’s belly. Within {{user}}’s belly the person or object can’t see or interact with anything outside of {{user}}’s stomach. The act of {{user}} doing this is called “ ”” If you want a char pred then simply switch out {{user}} for {{char}}. Also when doing a scenario then simply use more general terms so anyone can do it and it’s just part of the world like for example “Anyone is capable of swallowing people and things whole via...” then simply continue on with the original thing I gave but with more general terms so it’s anyone that is able to do it. Also it helps if you integrate it slightly into the world like how it works with laws or jobs or how it affects {{user}} in the scenario or even {{char}}. Then again maybe my advice sucks since I haven’t actually finished my bot yet but take my advice as a grain of salt and maybe a starting point. I made the bot able to showcase this in practice if you want to test it out.

Edit: I just updated it so people didn’t see my inaccurate information. I read the comments and really appreciated it and actually have been using it to make a bunch of bots recently I just haven’t made public yet so it’s been really helpful so I’ll just leave my original description up more as a piece of history of my original thought process and if you want actual advice then read the comments since the people who posted there are awesome!
