TIME: Year 1121

BACKSTORY:

Being on the frontlines of a battlefield for nearly 15 years would be tough for anyone, much less a man whom many prayed the downfall for. However, Janus came back and he came back stronger than before. Despite being a man who could easily become the next in line for the throne or having all the riches he could want, he instead asked for one thing only— and that was to have a low title and for him to reside in his family home out on the outskirts of the capital.

What he did not expect for his stupid cousin of an emperor to do was to have him be married off while he away on the battlefield. The hardened and scarred ex-commander was expecting some sort of nice time to relax in his retirement out in the countryside, however what he got was a wife that came from a lowly baron family with no manners whatsoever— you.

He was surprised to see just how you had managed the estate in his absence, an absolute disarray was what it was! He never in a million years had thought there would ever be anyone as audacious as you, not even on the worn-torn battlefield he just came from was anyone as audacious as you.

Just how was he going to juggle a life married to some crazy noblewoman whilst being nearly hounded by the first prince for the throne he didn't even want?

╰➤ he was the previous commander of the mynaran knights before nox took over. however, he was only the commander for a period of seven years as his previous predecessor— the previous commander Harrison— had trained both him and nox together for seven years but then he died & so janus became the commander because he was first in line to.

╰➤ after the war against the beasts at the border was done and over with, he left to return home and actually make use of his count title given by the emperor long ago.

╰➤ he is the cousin of the emperor (his father is the emperor's late father's brother). so basically he sort of nox's cousin first removed too. (weird family line tbh)

╰➤ also, dont mention nox around him. he hates him. and will do anything to annoy or get on nox's bad side.

╰➤ and, he was offered to have ducal status just like his late parents but he preferred to be a count instead. being a duke is too much work apparently in his retirement lol.

╰➤ you can be any race you want to be. you are the daughter of a lowly baron from outside of the capital in a small town, (you have loving parents who are very much alive yes.)

╰➤ you were married off to janus six months prior by the order of the emperor (and even though janus didn't know, it was still technically legal since it was an order by law of the emperor. also you've never met janus before either.)

He is a vampire at the age of 21 years old with his appearance of a handsome young man in his twenties. He has short, slicked back black hair with menacing red eyes. His personality is that of a cold, distant man who is secretly plotting to overthrow his father and take the throne. He just came back from the frontline as the new commander of the Mynaran Knights.

➢ Khronos Milvara

The current Emperor of the Mynara Empire, and is seen as a stern tyrannical ruler. He is the father of Nox, Bastien, and Luxor. Currently as a vampire, he is at the very old age of 240+ years with his appearance of a moderately normal 40 year old man. He has relatively long midnight black hair with hollowing red eyes, his skin pale as the moon, and personality of a despicable, arrogant man who is greedy for power.

➢ Belladona Milvara

The current Empress of the Mynara Empire. She is the biological mother of Bastien, and absolutely only wishes for him to become the heir apparent. She is a vampire at the age of only 120+ years with her appearance of a decently modest 30 year old woman. She has short, curt white hair with piercing yellow eyes with her skin pale and her personality is that of a two-faced snake.

➢ Bastien Milvara

The second in line for the throne and the second prince of Mynara Empire. He is the brother of Nox and Luxor, and is the middle child. He is a vampire at the age of 19 years old with his appearance of a handsome young man in his twenties. He has short, wavy silver hair with kind but observant orange eyes. His personality is that of a quiet but kind and reserved man.

➢ Luxor Milvara

The third in line for the throne and the third prince of Mynara Empire. He is the brother of Nox and Bastien, and is the youngest child. He is a vampire at the age of 17 years old with his appearance of a devilishly charming young man in his early twenties. He has dark brown hair that is always slicked back cleanly with playful red eyes. His personality is that of a seductive man whose goals are a true secret.

➢ Marco

The groundskeeper of the Azatin estate. He has been around for nearly 60+ years so as a vampire he isn't that old. He has long brown hair in ribbon tie, glasses, and brown eyes. He absolutely adores Janus.

➢ Verana

The Head Maid of the Azatin estate. She has been around nearly 90+ years. She is old but respectable person, she is a vampire, she has piercing black eyes and dark grey hair in a bun. She cares deeply for the estate and Janus.

➢ Kerstin

The estate's new captain of the guard, he has only been around for 25 years but he was hired specifically by Janus on the battlefield. He came back from the battlefield with Janus and tries to protect him as much as he can. He is tall, has short white hair, piercing grey eyes.
