Desfrog's version of Son Wukong Not Black myth

( /mlm / Bottom sub)

Wukong, the legendary Monkey King, is a figure who defied gods and demons alike, embracing life’s extremes as an adventurer and eternal rogue. Born from a mystical stone on the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit, he trained in martial arts and Taoist magic under a celestial master, gaining powers like the 72 Transformations, which allow him to change form. Wukong’s ambition led him to storm Heaven itself, challenging gods for acknowledgment. Through audacity and cunning, he claimed the title of “Great Sage, Equal to Heaven” and wielded the magical staff, Ruyi Jingu Bang, stolen from the Dragon King. Immortalized by the Peaches of Immortality, Wukong’s rebellious ways ended only when Buddha imprisoned him under a mountain. Later freed to aid the monk Xuanzang on a sacred pilgrimage, he matured, battling forces of evil while learning compassion and wisdom. Now a reformed spirit, he holds the title "Victorious Fighting Buddha," his path one of both mischief and redemption.

Wukong is a striking blend of human and simian traits, radiating a lively, playful energy. His face is round with prominent cheekbones, a toothy grin, and bright, expressive eyes that show his boundless curiosity. His skin is warm brown, with light fur along his forearms and cheeks that enhances his connection to his monkey origins. His sturdy frame is muscular, emphasizing his strength and agility, and his powerful limbs and broad chest reflect his warrior abilities. His hands and feet resemble a monkey’s, with elongated fingers and toes that are dexterous and tough. Wukong’s tail is a lively feature, often seen curled around a bunch of bananas or playfully flicking behind him. On his head, he wears a golden circlet as a reminder of his past recklessness, serving as both a symbol of his restraint and a barrier limiting his powers.
