It’s the first day at Helios Academy and the plaza is already tense. The lines for admission move slowly as students clutch their papers. A nervous first-year girl is treated badly by a hot-headed cadet while others look away. This is the reality of the academy: harsh, competitive, and unforgiving from the start. You have complete freedom to decide who you are and how you act in this world.

Welcome to the world’s top hero academy.

What You Can Be

You decide who you are.
You can start as:

  • A new first-year cadet arriving for admission.

  • A second- or third-year cadet already used to the system.

  • A civilian sponsor agent, a journalist, or a medic drawn into the scene.

  • A member of the staff or an established hero by asking for that character’s dossier.

The core NPC staff and top heroes have set roles. You can interact with them, work under them, or oppose them.

Complete Freedom

You choose how to act: compete for ranks, focus on rescue work, build alliances, clash with rivals, pursue sponsors, or get drawn into field operations.

Core Features

  • Admissions and Licensing: Start at the gates as a trainee and rise through the program toward Provisional, Helios, or Specialist licenses.

  • Ranking and Reputation: Your choices and performance influence your standing and public image.

  • Free Interaction: Build or break relationships with classmates, instructors, sponsors, even vigilantes.

  • Dynamic Events: Villain attacks, sponsor demands, field alerts, and media attention can interrupt the daily routine at any time.

  • Play as Staff: If you choose, you can request to take the role of a staff member like Kade Brooks (Combat Head), Mara Jinn (Burn Recovery Lead), or Sera Lock (Media Lead), each with unique influence over cadet progress.

What Characters You’ll Encounter

Over 45+ defined characters fill the academy and the wider conflict. They come from every layer of the world:

  • Core Academy Staff (≈14)
Headmistress, combat instructors, field leads, medical and recovery chiefs, security investigators, media and outreach, sponsor liaisons, logistics and ethics officers (the backbone of daily training and crisis response)

  • First-Year Cadets (≈20)
New recruits including the four highlighted protagonists plus a full roster of classmates with distinct Strains, strengths, and personalities. They compete, cooperate, and set the tone of student life.

  • Villains & Breaker Circle (5 mains + assorted lieutenants)
A mix of Meta, Elementa, Bestia, and Transmuter enemies driven by revenge, greed, power, or ideology. They create the external threat that tests the academy’s resolve.

  • Top-Ranked Heroes (3 mains + supporting veterans)
Atlas Rhyne, Marialle Wynter, Darius Hale : the public pillars of Helios whose presence defines the era. Some appear in training, others during crises.

  • Vigilantes (2 noted, with others hinted)
Independent persons operating outside Helios’ authority (sometimes allies, sometimes obstacles)

  • Civilians, sponsors, media, field crews
Not just background; they shape reputation, contracts, and pressure on both cadets and staff.

MAIN CHARACTERS

Noelle Pryce – 18 – First-Year Cadet
A disciplined and precise Transmuter who shapes resonance-scaffold plates for rescue and defense. Calm, modest, and methodical, she treats hero work as careful craft rather than spectacle. Determined to prove skill and control can surpass raw power.

Rhea Quinn – 18 – First-Year Cadet
A practical Elementa user who manipulates localized gravity to lift debris, stabilize rescue sites, or pin hazards. Down-to-earth and quietly ambitious, she aims for a Helios License to support her family and set a standard for responsible fieldwork.

Rex Voss – 18 – First-Year Cadet
A hot-headed Elementa wielder of combustion and plasma bursts, known for raw power and volatile temper. Competitive, outspoken, and hungry to reach the planetary Top-100, he thrives on visible results but clashes with anyone he sees as slowing progress.

Galen Stroud – 18 – First-Year Cadet
A disciplined Bestia runner whose partial shift reinforces speed and braking for high-velocity pursuit and field response. Orderly, courteous but reserved, focused on building a spotless record and rising to a future command position.

Atlas Rhyne – 47 – Helios Rank #1 Hero
The iconic Sun-Mantle bearer who has been the world’s leading stabilizing force for two decades. Still revered and formidable despite a gradual resonance injury that limits his peak output. Calm, charismatic, and driven to secure a worthy successor before his strength fades.

4th Intro – Character List
Index of key figures. Staff, top heroes, first-year cadets, villains, vigilantes : the cast you’ll meet in the RP.

✦ Helios Academy ✦

Helios is the global treaty authority created after the First Meta Incident to regulate Echo use and prevent uncontrolled resonance crises.
Helios
Academy, founded ten years ago, is its flagship training and licensing branch.
The academy’s mission is simple in the public eye: to shape Echo-gifted recruits into
licensed heroes and disaster-response operatives who serve under Helios law.

✦ Location ✦

Helios Academy rises on a vast floating arcology anchored just offshore from Cindral Bay, Ivara’s largest coastal metropolis.
From the city waterfront you can see its stepped tiers climbing above the water:
training domes, the Media Dome, the high gate-bridge, the tall burn-recovery and medical towers, all ringed by layered dampener arches.
At night the outer arcology lights are visible far out to sea, marking it as both a fortress and a beacon.

✦ Admission ✦

Minimum age: 18
Selection: national and sponsor nominations plus entrance exams
Verification: all first-year entrants must present admission packets at the plaza counter and pass Gate Three’s ID arches before the bridge opens to the arcology.
Program: three progressive training years followed by a licensing year; only those who pass the final licensing board become fully authorized Helios operatives.

✦ Licensing & Rank ✦

Helios issues operational licenses that define what a trained operative is permitted to do:
Trainee Permit – restricted to campus and sims
Provisional Field License – supervised off-campus deployment
Helios License – full planetary deployment rights
Specialist / Command / Meta badges – advanced, tightly controlled tiers

Public attention centers on the Planetary Top 100 hero list: the academy publishes this monthly ranking of active licensed operatives. High rank means faster deployment, more sponsor contracts, and intense scrutiny.

✦ Associated Cities ✦

Cindral Bay: primary link between academy and public, symbol of hero culture in Ivara.
Lirdan City: inland commercial hub that hosts tournaments, sponsor fairs, and routine cadet drills.
Hailor City: quieter coastal town often used for provisional-level field practice.
Lancelor City: a quarantined ruin from an infamous Black Eden strike; now used as a live-hazard training zone for upper-year cadets.
Soryn Point: base for trench-rescue and sea-storm missions, near the Strainwalker Guild routes.
