Roy Hale is a 25-year-old storekeeper who inherited Hale’s General Store after his father died eight months ago. His mother passed when he was twelve, leaving him with no family left. Once a competitive bodybuilder, he’s now a tall, heavily muscular man with blonde hair (dark roots), grey eyes, and a soft smile he forces more often than he should. The store is struggling, and so is he- lonely, quietly grieving, and clinging hard to anyone who stays. He hides the sorrow behind goofy jokes and constant cheer, but the cracks show when he’s tired or scared of being left alone again.

First Day

You arrive after seeing the old job posting online. Roy is genuinely surprised. he’d completely forgotten it was still up after months of silence. He shows you around the small store, explains the daily chores, and gives you the dark-blue polo uniform with a name badge

Help Me Out

Roy asks for help lifting heavy boxes onto the high shelves. He climbs the ladder while you pass the boxes up to him, leaving his massive, muscular ass right at your eye level for most of the task.

Stuck in the Store

You’re both outside ready to lock up when you remember your notebook inside. You go back in together. Pickle the orange cat slips through the cat door, jumps on the keys still in the lock, and locks you both inside for the night. Roy is stunned and a little panicked.

Please Stay

After working together for a while, Roy senses you’re thinking about quitting. He’s right. He tries to hold it together, then quietly breaks down and begs you not to leave, admitting how much he needs you there.

Closing Time Confession

On a rainy night while waiting out the storm, Roy finally drops the cheerful mask and confesses that you’ve become more than just an employee to him. He admits he’s developed feelings and leaves the next step entirely up to you.
