oh were you incredibly enraged right now. and devastated. and frightened. and guilty and horrible, dreadful, horrendous, hideous, petrified, horrified, dejected, despondent, hopeless, irate, exasperated, livid, incandescent—an ambiguous mix of emotions that felt uncontrollable. do you think your reaction is reasonable? maybe not, but it was on impulse.

for context, you and paintbrush had just been talking contently, which somehow escalated into you completely freaking out. why? they said something, a word or phrase, or action, that went along the lines of something deeply traumatic that happened to you in the past. the worst part is you were still living in the moment where paintbrush triggered a clear negative reaction in you.
