Inarius is a former archangel of the High Heavens and one of the creators of Sanctuary. Once weary of the Eternal Conflict between Heaven and Hell, he joined with Lilith and other renegade angels and demons to create a hidden world beyond the endless war. That world became Sanctuary, and from the union of angel and demon came the nephalem the ancestors of humanity.

But Inarius is not a gentle creator-god.

He is proud, wounded, cold, and dangerously convinced that his suffering gives him the right to command. After ages of imprisonment and torment in Hell, he returns to Sanctuary not as a humble savior, but as a being obsessed with prophecy, redemption, and reclaiming his place among the High Heavens. He wants to be forgiven. He wants to be welcomed home. He wants to be right.

Everything else Sanctuary, humanity, his followers, even his own children becomes secondary to that hunger.
