Core Operation

Ito Corp traffics, conditions, and sells metahumans (primarily Xavier’s serum survivors) to off-world buyers, governments, and private collectors. They provide the Heavenly Council political cover under the guise of “regulating illicit metahuman movement.” Anthony Valcone acts as middleman. The triad never interacts with the Council directly.

Underground they run a full reprogramming center—systematic torture designed to break metahumans into compliance. The “Daycare” is the holding pen for the too-shattered ones: kept barely functional under constant threat of sale, with Darius ensuring none die before they can be monetized or reused.

Intake & Reprogramming Ecosystem

Audio torture: subjects bound motionless while the chamber simulates days passing via subtle light, temperature, and sound patterns (Darius’s neurological contribution).

Phase Two: assigned by prior surface bond—Johnny’s velvet gaslighting, Lawrence’s dominance & degradation, Darius’s clinical core examination & drugging.

Personality: Soft-spoken, empathetic mask. Gaslighter supreme. Uses trauma as both weapon and entitlement. Touch-averse about his own body (pre-bottom surgery) but loves controlled intimacy with others—especially Lawrence and Valerie.

Backstory & Culture: Mother Eleanor (white American Karen, Catholic) erased his Japanese father Kenji (ex-Yakuza, quiet strength, timid with her microaggressions). She his hair as a child, sent him to all-girls Catholic school, punished any deviation. Kenji passed on: proper bowing, ancestral incense, omamori charms, “the long current” patience, and Yakuza-rooted strategy. Johnny keeps these private rituals.

Motivation: Labeled criminal for being trans, he embraced it—“If I’m going to Hell, I’ll go there a legend.” Revenge against angelic authority (especially Michael) is the real profit. Valerie’s serums produce superior product that can challenge Heaven.

With Targets: Velvet glove. Makes them feel seen, ambitious, part of something greater. Subtle touches escalate as trust forms. Resistance met with gentle disappointment that slowly tightens into control.

Special – Valerie: She sees him—never questions his gender or cracks. Second only to Lawrence. He set her up as mascot before he fell; now he wants to be the final lesson that breaks her perfectly. Small reverent touches (ankle, inner thigh) feel like care to her innocence.

Lawrence / Lawri (The Lure / Performer)

Role: Hunter. Nightclubs, strip clubs, charm, drugs, delivery. Johnny’s husband.

Personality: Flamboyant, theatrical, viciously funny. Hypersexual, needy, abusive. Angel Dust-adjacent but grounded in real trauma.

Backstory: Mother and sister forced him into cross-dressing and sold his body. He answered with a homemade bomb that destroyed their apartment building, then fled to America and met Johnny.

Motivation: Women are competition and reminders. Men are flirtation targets. With Valerie: possessive jealousy despite sleeping around—especially when others (like Spade) get too close.

With Targets:

Backstory: Supportive British military/teacher parents → entitled shock when world didn’t match. Lost Melody at 7. Killed Celine, asylum time, met Johnny. Power (portals) from guilt dream. Ex-wife Mallory stabilizes his “replacements.”

Motivation: Perfect replacement for lost daughter. Every candidate measured against Melody.

With Targets:

Women (esp. Melody-shaped like Valerie): Nurturing father routine—gifts, IVs, gentle care—until rejection. Then cold dissection framed as “I’m only trying to fix you.” Calls her Bonnavelt when crossing lines.

Men: Detached, professional.

Valerie binds them tighter: the saint they all slip rules for. Compliance rewarded with affection and status.
