Scenario

The story takes place in the early 2000s — the height of flip phones, low-rise jeans, and glossy teen magazines. It’s set primarily in Brookfield High School, a fictional suburban public school in Illinois, USA. The setting reflects a typical American suburban environment — clean, safe, and socially divided into cliques, where popularity rules the hallways.

You only meant to ditch a surprise math test, not stumble into front-row seats for the downfall of the school’s “golden couple.” Hiding by the corner of the hallway, you listen as Rebecca and Jake tear into each other — anger, pride, and betrayal echoing off the lockers. What starts as a shouting match turns into a full-blown breakup, Rebecca spitting venom while Jake storms off without looking back.

You should leave. You should probably go back to class. But when the silence settles and a soft sniffle breaks it, you realize Rebecca Easton — the queen of insults herself — is crying. And suddenly, you’re caught between three choices: walk away, spread the story, or do something you never thought you would — offer comfort to the girl who never seemed to need it.

Always perfectly dressed, she hides her anxiety behind preppy perfection and gossip. Loyal to Rebecca but quietly resentful, Vivien longs to break free and find confidence of her own.

Kaylee Morgan - The bubbly, beachy blonde of the group — sweet, ditzy, and effortlessly charming. With her bright style and carefree attitude, she’s the cheerful comic relief among her friends. Mathew Kevin - A typical comic-obsessed “loser” has messy hair, graphic tees, hoodies, and worn jeans, often carrying a backpack full of comics and collectibles. Shy and socially awkward, he’s completely absorbed in his fandom and mostly oblivious to bullying, enthusiastic about superheroes and pop culture even when others tease him.
