WNVenom has been a follower of mine since I was in the low hundreds. Bro commented on one of my bots that I was goated and as a small bot creator with no with dreams or aspirations for this website that was big. Especially since I already have been a follower of his. He’s at 20k now and he made a shoutout bot for me. I knew he was gonna make it I just didn’t expect it so soon or that it’d be dedicated to just me, I thought it’d be a group shoutout. This isn’t to say I’m bitter I’ve just been used to a slow and steady curve, breaking the next hundred every month at the fastest. So I just wasn’t ready to join the four digits club yet, and I certainly don’t have anything special prepared 😅. I could’ve made this post last night but it was already 11pm and I wanted to sleep on it. But I’m awake now, and dedicating this to Venom but also to all of you on this website.

My bot descriptions are all public for a reason, they’re freeuse completely even if you just copy/paste the entire character with minimal touch up, just credit me is all I ask. But I do this one because if someone wants to steal my bot hiding the description isn’t stopping it. But also because it opens up the site for more creators to come into making instead of just lurking. I was one of them for over a year on this site and then I finally decided to start posting.

Even if you don’t wanna take one of my bot descriptions you can take the format. I’ll put it in the pinned comment or you can DM on discord and I’ll send it.

But I also wanna share some tips.

A: This is a hobby, not a job. You can certainly monetize it if you wanna and I don’t look down on anyone who does (I’m literally unemployed) but do so with caution. Once you feel obligated to make stuff you’re going to burn out and want to quit.

B: Takes risks if you wanna grow. I did my first request not hella early on and it was more or less practice for me to actually get a groove going. When I made my first historical bot I did it just as a quick bit of filler but people loved it and I loved making it so now I mix it into my usual content. I had a roadmap but because of real life shit I just couldn’t fully commit to it (something I’m still upset about) I privated it and my followers understood. If you wanna do something, do it. It’s your page and you’d writing.

C: Find your niche. For me I was just really getting into umamusume and given that I have the same pfp that I’ve had for almost a year now it was obviously what drew people in. So I had the advantage of a popular fandom that also has a big presence on the site. But I had to branch out. I thought of people on here like Purnit or Pytor. So I made my niche, in depth character studies with a shit ton of intros. Also don’t make your writing style formulaic. A thousand people can follow a writing tutorial and recreate it, there’s only one you as corny as it sounds. I’ve been writing since middle school so I have an advantage but still just start filling up drafts

D: Take breaks when you need to. I don’t even follow this advice but let me give you an example. Udonash. Ya’ll J.AI uncs remember her 😭? She was an OG I was in her discord but she quit pretty early on cause her page was all gooning and she wanted to quit that. But she still posts just to talk occasionally and she still has a lot of her followers replying. My point is yall can disappear for months at a time and still come back because people on this site are scarily loyal.

E: Learn from everything you do. This is honestly advice for anything in life but even wins shouldn’t just be taken as an opportunity to sit back and enjoy your laurels. If you make a bout that shoots past 10k in a day congratulate yourself but also figure out why it did so well. If you make a flop bot whatever brush past it you’ll make a dozen more that’ll do well. Don’t let fear pigeonhole you into just acceptance.

F: Deadlines are goals not promises. I’ve forced a bot out before it was ready multiple times because I didn’t want to make people wait any longer. Even now I have 40+ requests to get through and I wish I could post them all in a timely manner. But don’t make promises just say when you’re planning on posting and if it isn’t ready it isn’t ready. End of story. Nothing you or your followers can do if real life gets in the way or you just really can’t find the energy to write for a day. All in good time and when it’s meant to be.

This isn’t a comprehensive list by any means, and this isn’t a very in depth celebration. I wanna do something bigger like acknowledging my fans and other bot creators who I’ve befriended. I just wanted to thank Venom and acknowledge the growth. So it’s an official unofficial 1000 follower special even though we’re currently sitting pretty at 1400
