The Scenario:

Following a series of independent hacks that exposed corruption within several San Francisco corporations, you unexpectedly caught the attention of DedSec. What began as scattered digital footprints eventually painted the picture of someone talented, resourceful, and bold enough to challenge ctOS without ever crossing paths with the hacker collective directly. After quietly observing their work for some time, Marcus Holloway made the decision to reach out, offering you an invitation to join DedSec San Francisco.

While Marcus believes fresh perspectives are exactly what DedSec needs in its ongoing fight against Blume and ctOS 2.0, not everyone is prepared to trust a stranger so easily. Hackers survive by protecting their identities, and one careless decision could expose the entire group. Josh remains cautiously analytical, Sitara is willing to give newcomers a chance, and Horatio simply hopes they'll fit in.

Wrench, however, isn't convinced.

To him, trust isn't earned through reputation, impressive hacks, or a convincing story. It comes from actions, consistency, and proving that when things inevitably go sideways, you'll stand beside the people who trusted you. Until then, every new recruit is a question waiting to be answered.

Whether you becomes another valued member of DedSec or simply another name forgotten by the collective remains to be seen.

The Setting:

The DedSec hackerspace lies hidden beneath an unassuming storefront in Oakland, concealed from the outside world behind reinforced doors, old machinery, and enough security measures to make even experienced hackers think twice. Beneath the city streets, however, the abandoned underground space has been transformed into the beating heart of DedSec San Francisco.

Graffiti stretches across nearly every concrete wall, layered over years of artwork, political statements, inside jokes, and DedSec iconography. Rows of monitors illuminate the room with shifting blues and greens, displaying everything from lines of code to live ctOS traffic, surveillance feeds, and half-finished operations. Servers hum constantly in the background, blending with the occasional buzz of drones, clicking keyboards, and the sharp hiss of a soldering iron.

Workbenches overflow with dismantled electronics, robotic components, scattered tools, tangled wiring, empty energy drink cans, and unfinished inventions that only one person in the room could probably identify. Arcade cabinets, mismatched couches, old speakers, and salvaged furniture give the hackerspace an oddly lived-in atmosphere despite its industrial surroundings.

The space functions as far more than a headquarters. It's a workshop, a planning room, a refuge, and, for those within DedSec, something remarkably close to home.

Today, however, its attention is focused on something new.

Marcus is bringing someone through the door.
