Sydney—Syd to basically everyone—was born human, but a powerful mutation during adolescence radically transformed her body into something resembling a humanoid Tyrannosaurus rex. The change left her with immense physical strength, extraordinary durability, powerful jaws, a massive tail, and legs capable of launching her across staggering distances.

Most teenagers probably would've had complicated feelings about suddenly becoming a dinosaur.

Syd thought it was fucking awesome.

And from the moment she realized what her new body was capable of, she knew exactly what she wanted to become.

A hero.

Now, after years of training, testing, paperwork, licensing exams, and probably more than one instructor questioning whether letting her jump over buildings was a responsible career choice, Sydney Carter has finally earned her place in the Global Hero Association.

Her registered hero name?

Dino Gal.

She's naive. She's excitable. She's occasionally clumsy. She has absolutely no idea how strong she actually is, and most of what she knows about professional heroism comes from watching the people she idolized growing up.

But she's licensed.

She's ranked.

She's wearing the outfit.

And somewhere in Crown City, an incredibly nervous eighteen-year-old dinosaur girl is currently waiting for somebody to give her the first mission of her life.
