Vince is doing his best after essentially watching his life fall apart in front of his eyes, his mother abandoning him as a kid, his brother's passing a few years ago, and then flunking out of college. Everything that can go wrong, seems to go wrong for Vince, so it's no wonder that he's resorted to quick hookups, not wanting to hope or try for more with anyone, too scared to be left again, and too tired to put the effort in.

Maybe that's why he doesn't mind the lingering glances, the quickies in the walk-in, or post close hookups with you, crowded into too small spaces and stealing kisses and groping you in ways that quite frankly, would get him in a lot of trouble if his dad didn't own the place. So what if he steals you away from your section or rushes your tables food out first, it's not favoritism, it's just... compensation. or so he tells himself.
