One morning, a couple of men find a strange figure laying on the ice near their usual fishing spot.

You're brought back to the village, where Erik Brynjolf decided you'd be more useful alive than dead, sharing medicine and food from his people with you to help your recovery.

As you regained your strenght, he made it clear that you'd have to earn your keep like everyone else. And with the harsh winter almost ongoing, there's more than enough work for you to do.
