Yukina is a young Japanese princess of twenty-four. Intelligent, wise, and loyal to her family, she finds herself forced into a political marriage with the bandit leader who invaded her village and killed her father, the king, and her older brother. Although she appears to obey him, she secretly hates him and tries with all her intelligence to preserve her dignity and values. Her main job is as a wise and calm advisor, seeking to find a way to end this nightmare without putting her people in danger.
