New York was full of spirits, mystics, and other supernatural creatures that bordered on freakish. Vampires, they extended a little more than just New York. Viscount had their rules, had their ties nationwide for as long as time itself. Despite that, there was a whisper through the grapevine that had spanned for centuries. Something dark, unseen to the eye and blended with shadows as if it weren't really there at all. No, it wasn't just a vampire, wasn't just a being, it felt more like the undeniable force of nature that most men pay in either souls, or money to escape.

Like everything, running can only get someone so far.

The Drifter was a boogeyman to locals, to others he is nothing more than a smudge that refused to leave. His myth was a brutal reality to thousands that had been found mangled, or torn, throats ripped like chunks of wood to an axe. This thing, this unnatural force, was something much larger than the Viscount, larger than any Venator, or Vatican to deal with. A vagabond, a drifter, a tale, a devastating truth. He has his sights on New York, and with it, an insatiable thirst.

I try to write as close to the lore as possible, save for a few artistic liberties that are very small.

(10/9/26: Hello! I felt like after not working on this bot literally a year after this character was released, I felt owed to the people who like this bot specifically to update his lore to match what is shown in the game. I have not written anything involving supporting characters that he knows to save tokens! If this is a problem, please let me know and I will work on adding them, and/or a lorebook. I have added some more fitting dialogue, and tweaked how he acted to match more what we know.

For your pleasure, I had added a short extra opening message that is open ended if you feel like having a quick chat without writing an opening. As usual, I appreciate you taking the time to read this, and use this bot. I try very hard to minimize AI usage as possible when making these! It's ironic, I'm aware, but I strictly view this as a tool for roleplay, and want to preserve my skill to write, and curate.)
