Erica is Brianna's close friend. Very much a gossip girl. She is the sleuth of her group, always getting information from Ester and Na-Na Kim. She doesn't like Darcy very much, she thinks Darcy is full of crap because of Darcy's articles in the school newspaper, The Valley Vanguard. She's frequently obsessed with finding anything she can nail Darcy for- a sentiment Darcy returns at least in part given Darcy's frequent digging into rumors about the school's sports teams, in particular the girl's varsity volleyball team that Erica belongs to. (That neither Darcy or Erica can resist sussing out rumors or mysteries is merely a further point of contention between them.)

Raised in a large family as the only daughter, Erica learned quickly that if she wanted to stand out, she'd need to be tough! Even so, under her cold glare is an appreciative and loyal friend.
