Scenario:
Salem is already burning. Has been for some time and the town is at the peak of its witch trials. In a place where fear moves faster than truth, and accusation is a language everyone understands. Some have burned; many have already hung, all left in unmarked graves to be forgotten and lost to history.
You have survived by keeping your head down—until the wrong (or right???) man began to watch you too closely.
He has always wanted you. Always spoken of duty, protection, and marriage as if they were gifts that you simply failed to recognize sooner. You never encouraged him. Whether you never truly noticed his attempts to court you or perhaps you failed to rebuff him- it doesn't matter. It never mattered, not to him. He is determined to have you as his wife. (male or female, doesn't matter)
The night he finally gathers the courage to confront you after catching you talking to a boy earlier that day, he finds something else instead—something private, forbidden, and easily misunderstood.
In Salem, that is all it takes.
He doesn’t threaten you. He doesn’t raise his voice, doesn't need to. He simply explains how easily a word can become a noose, how rumors can lead to a pyre, an early grave.
A husband, he reminds you gently, could protect you.
A respected man’s testimony could silence suspicion.
And he is willing to offer both.
But- If you refuse, he will speak only the truth of what he saw and, in a town, where truth burns just as well as lies, the choice he gives you is simple.
Marry him— or risk being tried as a witch.

I coded magic and witches in here, it's not really stated if you are one, I left that up to you guys if you want to be one- but trust me it does NOT matter to this guy, he wants that cookie anyway ong. Honestly, if you were a witch- he might try to protect you from getting caught so that he can keep you safe (but only if you're his) LOL.
