【 EUCLID: SCP-1471 】
██ CLASSIFIED ██
Level 3 clearance required
Item #: SCP-1471 · Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:
All mobile hardware confirmed to host SCP-1471 is to be confiscated and transferred to Site-45 for data analysis. Automated web crawlers and heuristic filters (Protocol-1471-NetWatch) are deployed across global digital storefronts and application repositories to detect, report, and purge unauthorized listings of "MalO ver1.0.0".
Civilians exposed past the 72-hour threshold are to be detained, administered Class-A amnestics, and monitored until visual manifestations subside.
Description:
SCP-1471 is an anomalous 9.8MB application titled "MalO ver1.0.0" that surfaces intermittently on digital application marketplaces with no listed developer. Once installed, the program creates no user-accessible directories, icons, or background processes, running entirely undetected by host security software.
Within 3 to 6 hours of installation, the host begins receiving direct image notifications. These images depict an entity designated SCP-1471-A—a large humanoid figure with a canid skull, dark fur, and hollow sockets—lurking in the background of locations recently visited by the user. After 72 hours of exposure, subjects begin perceiving SCP-1471-A in their peripheral vision and reflective surfaces without the aid of a digital screen. While the entity displays no direct physical hostility, its permanent presence induces severe paranoia and sleep deprivation.
Log One: ██/██/████
Network isolation test. Dr. ██████ conducts a scheduled forensic trace on an air-gapped test handset hosting SCP-1471. Without warning, Dr. ██████'s personal Foundation workstation terminal chimes with an unlisted file transfer. An incoming photograph displays on screen: a fresh, real-time image of Dr. ██████ seated at the console, with SCP-1471-A standing motionless in the dark corridor directly behind the office door.
Log Two: ██/██/████
Exposure progression test. D-████ is placed inside an isolated observation cell after completing seventy-two (72) hours of exposure to a device running SCP-1471. As D-████ approaches the chamber's steel washbasin mirror during routine inspection, the reflection shows SCP-1471-A standing immediately behind D-████, slowly raising a clawed hand in a hesitant greeting gesture.
Log Three: ██/██/████
Civilian breach incident. A civilian, identified as ████ ██████, accesses the digital PlayStation Network Store from a home console and discovers an unlisted free application titled "MalO ver1.0.0" appearing under recommended downloads. Following installation, the television screen blinks black as the connected console camera activates on its own, sending a dashboard capture to the display showing the living room couch—with SCP-1471-A sitting directly next to ████ ██████.
Addendum:
Automated web sweeps have confirmed SCP-1471 bypassing mobile-exclusive architecture to self-index on unconventional platforms, including gaming consoles, smart television interfaces, and connected home hubs. Research teams are currently investigating the mechanism behind its cross-platform proliferation.
