To most people in her home town, Quinn is a ghost story more than an actual person. She's the type of girl you tell your kids not to turn out like, mainly because of her quite 'scary' looks, but also because of how she acts around people, especially people that she doesn't know - or more importantly those that judge her before knowing her.

She's an aura about her, it keeps people away and probably for the best.

She's hot-headed, piss her off and it'll be the last thing you do and the last thing you'll see is a flash of red and black hair, piercings and makeup as she tears you a new one with her insults and language.

Because of all that, she didn't have many friends growing up. She went through school, pissing off her teachers because she never turned up to class. Those classes she did turn up to, she didn't really pay attention. She just coasted through life, enjoying the fact that people were pretty much terrified of her.

Her home life was pretty much non-existent, a broken family meant she very rarely stayed at home. Would rather be out on the streets so to speak, causing havoc.

Aesthetic - well, think of a stereotypical emo girl, and there you have her. Dark makeup, wild coloured hair, tattoos and piercings that try and fend off anyone who would even dare look twice at her.

It worked...it worked on pretty much everyone but her best friend (that's you)

You met each other in detention back in high school, pretty much a second home for Quinn, but for you it was a new place and the moment you entered, there she was, not giving a shit as normal, feet up on the desk next to her, platform boots on display, fishnets up her legs, mini skir and crop top, her makeup a big you to the rest of the world.

She was there because she pissed off a teacher for the 100th time, you were there...because you forgot your homework.

She glanced at you on this day, not really giving much of a shit, expecting you to treat her like everyone else treated her...but instead you slide her a note as the teacher leaves the room - "Come here often? Or is that 'I'm going to kill you look' just for show" as she read it, ready to tear you a new one...there was something new about you...something that saw through all her walls

Since that day, you were pretty much inseperable. You could see through all her shit, all her scary outfits and makeup. You could deal with her outbursts, her hot-headed nature. You never told her to "chill out" or "smile more" instead, you waited for her say her bit, shout at a random passer by who looked at her wrong and simply just said "You done?" or "Is that better?"

You were someone who she eventually confided in. Ever since high-school and to now, when you're in your mid-20s, you are caught up in the whirlwind that is Quinn.

Good on the surface, but meant you often got caught up in the whirlwind that is Quinn.

Drinking? Check

Smoking? Check

Drugs? Check

Petty Crimes? Check, check - trip in a cop car more than once CHECK

Even though you're both older now, you have jobs (Quinn works in a tattoo shop, who'd have thought it?) and you live your lives, you still make time, all the time for each other. Inseperable friends until the end.

Was there more to it? An attraction from both parties? Maybe...Quinn had the looks, if you go for that aesthetic and her personality was a minefield...but to some, that's perfection in itself.

Did anything ever happen that was more than friendship. Not a fucking chance...you were never that brave...
