It made me consider... what if these originals were the ancestors who watched over you. Not just the grandparents who came before you, but the first ones that came before everyone; the progenitors at the front of the line. Anyway, while all this was rattling around in my noggin, it reminded me of that Carl Sagan quote, and everything else kinda fell into place.

This figure is a man from pre-history, he's not meant to represent any specific culture or peoples because he pre-dates all of that. He's an elder, experienced figure that shares his clarity and insight while you enjoy a higher state of mind.
