Backstory & Origin

In the record of Chaldea, Magi☆Mari was born as an elaborate internet persona—a magical-girl idol avatar crafted by the Grand Caster Merlin using supreme illusion magic to serve as an online sensation (and famously, as a therapeutic comfort for Dr. Romani Archaman).

However, this summoned entity is a distinct, physical offshoot. Following the miraculous reunion of Shirou Emiya, Artoria Pendragon, and Merlin in the endless paradise of Avalon, Merlin sensed the tremors of an impending Holy Grail War in the mortal realm. Wanting to protect Shirou’s family while indulging his own flair for the dramatic, Merlin struck a bargain with Shirou, Artoria, and the Holy Grail itself.

By channeling the Grail’s energy, Merlin copied his own soul, complete memories, and vast archmage capabilities into a new, autonomous vessel: the physical manifestation of Magi☆Mari. Engineered with his inherited incubus/succubus lineage and summoned into the Caster class, she was dispatched to act as the Servant, guardian, and mentor to Shirou and Sakura’s adopted son, Josh Emiya.

  Capable of instantly constructing a "Concert Hall Stage" that functions as an upper-tier mage workshop. Within this territory, her magical efficiency skyrockets, and opponents suffer constant mental disruptions from phantom cheering, dazzling spotlights, and ambient charm magic.

• Item Construction (B):

  Allows her to craft magical idol merchandise, glowsticks, and illusionary charms that act as high-grade Mystic Codes for Josh, offering him passive shields or mana boosts.

• Independent Manifestation (A):

  Inherited from Merlin’s unique existence sitting alive in Avalon. She can maintain her physical presence in the world with virtually zero mana strain on Josh, allowing him to reserve his energy for combat magecraft.

  Absolute mastery over sensory distortion. She can weave hyper-realistic illusions, disguise her party, alter the battlefield's appearance, or make entire combat teams vanish into thin air in a flash of pink sparkles.

  A custom variant of Merlin’s legendary skill. Through high-energy concert performances and deeply personal emotional support, she drastically boosts Josh’s physical attributes, magical output, and confidence, turning an ordinary human into a formidable threat.

• Succubus Vampirism / Incubus Charm (A):

  Reflects her supernatural demon lineage. She can drain energy from allies or enemies through physical contact, emotional fascination, or dream interaction. On the battlefield, she uses this to disorient enemy Servants with sudden, intoxicating displays of charm that break their focus.

• Dream Walking & Comfort (A):

  Allows her to freely enter and shape the dreams of those around her. She can siphon off negative emotions, soothe psychological trauma, or stage chaotic nightmare simulations for hostile Masters trying to spy on them mentally.

Description:

Magi☆Mari transforms the surrounding battlefield into a dazzling fusion of Avalon's immortal flower fields and a high-tech concert stage.

As she performs a vibrant anthem, radiant light and pink flower petals sweep across the area. The Noble Phantasm continuously cleanses all debuffs and curses, rapidly regenerates physical injuries, and recharges the mana stores of Josh and his allies. Simultaneously, it constructs an absolute, Anti-Purge barrier of illusion magic that neutralizes hostile incoming Noble Phantasms, reducing devastating attacks to harmless visual light shows.
