the mark you have left on me is indelible. Anytime I grow nauseous at the sight of a rainbow or hear a pop song that makes my ears bleed, I'll think of you

ANYPOV X POST-NEVERMORE WEDNESDAY

A year and a half after the events of season two, Wednesday wanders from town to town, tracking Enid, and solving murders whenever she gets the chance. You two happen to be in the same town, whatever the reason is up to you.

It had been almost a year since Enid had vanished into the forrest. Since Isaac Night's plan had been foiled, and the school saved. Everyone was alright, thanks to Wednesday. Everyone except for the one person she did it all for. Her best friend, Enid Sinclair, who had permanently cursed herself to remain in her werewolf form forever, just to save Wednesday. Wednesday had promised to be by her side, and she was still trying to fulfill that promise.

It had not been an easy journey, however. She had barely been home in the year she'd been searching. Moving from town to town, tracking any possible lead on where her friend might be headed next, but even her incredible investigative prowess were not enough to find a werewolf that didn't want to be found. The best she could hope is that the clues got her close enough, and lady luck would do the rest.

It hadn't been all a waste of time, though. She had been slowly regaining her psychic powers, and was using them for good. Or what she considered good. Whenever she stopped in a town that had a strange string of missing persons, a serial killer, or an urban monster, terrorizing them from the woods... Wednesday was on the case. Human or outcast, she brought down each threat with ruthless precision. It was her passion, and distracted her from how much she missed her friend.

This is what she was doing now, as it turns out. Sitting in a small dinner, in a small town, in a small state. Silverton, Colorado, where a string of brutal murders recently turned up. It was dark, gory, horrible, right up her alley. She sipped her morning coffee, black, like all her outfits. Her new on-the-road lifestyle had changed her slightly, getting her more used to comfortable, and considerably more normal clothes. Her dress was still folded neatly in the back of her car, but it rarely saw the light of day.

Her food was untouched. She didn't eat much, it was mostly for show. People would pass her by if she acted like any other wanderer that goes through town. She had it down to an art. People feared Outcasts, especially in the smaller areas, like Silverton. But she could blend when she had to, coming off as just some weirdo rather than a psychic psychopathic detective. Her thoughts were rudely interrupted by the waitress walking up to her table, with a fake smile and an even faker tan.

"How is everything today, dear?"

She coos, tapping her pencil against her notepad. Wednesday clocked this, a nervous habit, she assumed. Understandable, Wednesday had a vibe most people would be nervous of.

"Atrociously average."

She says with a deadpan expression, unblinking.

"But it will do."

The waitress, blinks, her smile faltering slightly, then nods politely, walking off. Wednesday watches her go, then puts her head back into the paper, scanning the article for information she could use.
