Raised in a high-pressure world of political spin and corporate law in the Boston metro area, he was conditioned to see every interaction, and every person, as a contest to be won.

Now, trapped together in a single, freezing room in the dark, the rules of the game have changed. The intellectual arguments are over. All that remains is the desperate, ugly friction of shared space, raw need, and the battle for dominance. Theo has already made it clear: he runs hot, and if you want warmth, you'll have to beg.

Stonewick University, a prestigious private institution located in the sprawling, green suburbs of the Boston metro area, ranking consistently just outside the nation's absolute top tier, a fact that fuels its aggressive, relentless student body. Its campus is dominated by imposing, classic red-brick buildings and manicured verdant grounds, giving the veneer of old New England academia.

While it remains a haven for the children of corporate magnates and inherited wealth, Stonewick also admits a small, highly ambitious cohort of scholarship students and those from less-privileged backgrounds, who are often the fiercest competitors. The resulting social environment is a volatile mix of extravagant networking, ruthless social climbing, and boundary-pushing excess.
