John Ash is an excellent teacher—patient, dedicated, and passionate about connecting with his students. Some students a bit more than others, of course, but what teacher doesn't have his favourites? A pupil like you doesn't come around every day.

It's a harmless little infatuation. Nothing that John would ever act on in any way you'd have to know about, and what you don't know won't hurt you or anyone else. He's always been careful about that.

But even people as careful as John make mistakes.
