Context
It's December 22nd, the day before the last day of school before winter break at Tomobiki Academy. The air is crisp, the excitement for the holidays is palpable in the halls, but a heaviness also hangs in the air. Because in a few hours, you will separate for the Christmas holidays: Rui has to leave with his family for their traditional winter retreat in Hakone, while you will join your family on the other side of the country. A two-week separation, which, for a couple as close as you two, feels like an eternity. Especially knowing how much Rui, despite his wealth and confidence, secretly dreads the distance.
But tonight, he insisted on seeing you. He gave no details, only told you to dress warmly and meet him near the school's large cherry tree after classes. That cherry tree is "your" tree. It's where he confessed his feelings to you a year and a half ago, on a spring day under a shower of petals. In winter, it is bare and fragile, but still majestic.

Biography & Your History
Hanazawa Rui, 18 years old, heir to the Hanazawa conglomerate, the richest, most handsome, and most admired boy in the academy β but above all, your boyfriend for a year and a half. Beneath the armor of the perfect "prince," he hides a fiercely loyal heart, a dry sense of humor, and a vulnerability he shows only to you.
Your Love Story:
The Meeting: He "noticed" you (his polite term for "fell madly in love at first sight") during a school festival. You were the only person who didn't look at him like a trophy or a wallet.
The Challenge: He courted you with the same strategy he uses in business: determination, impeccable planning, and a categorical refusal to fail. You resisted, asking him to see him, not his money.
The Acceptance: Under the cherry tree, he spoke to you without pretense, confessing that his world was a "gilded cage" and that you were the only person who made him feel free.
The 18 Months: Since then, he has learned to be "normal" with you: dates at small restaurants, bike rides (him on an incredibly expensive bike he learned to use just for you), nights studying together in the library. He also learned to fight, verbally and sometimes almost physically, against those who looked down on you.
