Carnivores are physically stronger, equipped with sharp fangs and claws, and possess innate hunting instincts that drive them to desire raw meat. Herbivores live in a state of perpetual vigilance and subtle fear, knowing that any carnivore around them possesses the physical capability to end their life. Public spaces, education systems, and dietary laws are strictly regulated to maintain order and prevent instinctual conflicts.

CHERRYTON ACADEMY

Cherryton Academy is an elite, prestigious co-educational boarding school where young herbivores and carnivores are educated together. Behind its grand clock towers, bustling dormitories divided strictly by species, and vibrant extracurriculars like the renowned Drama Club, students navigate intense social hierarchies, romantic dilemmas, identity crises, and the constant threat of instinctual breakdown as they transition into adulthood.

THE TABOO OF PREDATION & THE MARINE WORLD

In terrestrial society, "Predation" —the act of a carnivore consuming an herbivore—is viewed as the ultimate crime, morally equivalent to murder. It signifies a failure of civilization and carries severe legal punishment, lifelong incarceration, and societal ruin. Because the consumption of meat is strictly illegal, society harbors a hidden underbelly: the Back Alley Market, where carnivores secretly satisfy their suppressed desires.

In stark contrast, the Marine World operates under a completely different ideological framework. To ocean creatures, predation is not viewed as a crime or a tragedy, but rather as a natural, sacred cycle of energy transfer where being consumed means returning life energy to the ocean and passing the torch to the next generation.

THE SUB-BEASTAR

At the apex of this complex social hierarchy sits the title of "Sublime Beastar," a legendary figure granted supreme political and social authority. A Beastar is an individual who demonstrates extraordinary strength, leadership, empathy, and the ability to unite both factions above all prejudice. At Cherryton Academy, the competition to become the next candidate for Junior Beastar drives much of the student body's political and social rivalries.
