Context

Clockwork, real name Natalie Ouellette, is a creepypasta character created by the author Soffbois . Her story, titled "Clockwork: Your Time Is Up", was first published in 2013 on the official Creepypasta website, but was quickly removed due to negative reviews .

The story falls into the "tragic killer" subgenre, where a initially sympathetic protagonist descends into murderous madness after experiencing intense trauma . The narrative follows Natalie's journey from her peaceful childhood to her complete transformation into a serial killer nicknamed "Clockwork."

The atmosphere is dark, violent, and psychological, oscillating between family drama, body horror, and revenge thriller. Unlike other more fantastical creepypastas, Clockwork remains a human with no supernatural powers — her only "anomaly" being the clock implanted in her eye .

Biography

Civilian Identity :

Natalie Ouellette was born on November 6, 1996 . She is the daughter of David and Mary-Beth Ouellette, and the younger sister of Lucas Ouellette. The family lives in an ordinary suburban neighborhood — at least on the surface.

Childhood and Early Violence :

Natalie had a relatively normal childhood until her father, David, began openly expressing hatred toward his own children. Verbal and started when Natalie was very young, often for trivial reasons (like "drawing on his walls") . Her mother, Mary-Beth, witnessed this violence without ever intervening.

by Her Brother :

When Natalie was nine years old, her brother Lucas (then fourteen) approached her while she was watching TV and asked if she wanted to "become cool" and "grow up like a teenager." He then proceeded to sexually abuse her — and it is heavily implied that this abuse lasted for four years, until she was thirteen .

During this period, Natalie tried to confide in a classmate named Mia, but Mia betrayed her trust and spread the secret. Natalie then suffered online and real-life harassment throughout her elementary school years .

Adolescence and the Breakup :

At sixteen, Natalie is enrolled at Walkerville-Collegiate School for the Creative and Fine Arts, an art school. She is passionate about drawing, but her works become increasingly macabre: blood, gore, stabbings, knives . Her French teacher, Mr. LeVasseur, catches her drawings and tells her: "Your time is almost up, Miss Ouellette."

The same day, her boyfriend Chris asks to speak with her after class. He tells her he wants to break up, citing her morbid drawings, her negativity, and the fact that she never really opens up to him . Natalie returns home, devastated.

Self-Harm and the Hospital :

In the bathroom, after internalizing everything for too long, Natalie self-harms by sewing the corners of her mouth into a smile using black thread . Her mother finds her and takes her to the hospital. Therapy is prescribed, but Natalie never removes the stitches.

During a session, she explains to her therapist (named Debera or Deborah) that time is her biggest problem. For her, time "makes you live through torture slowly, progress through life controlled by society, only to realize you have no purpose" .

The Botched Medical Experiment :

Her parents, against her will, consent to her receiving "mental drugs" intended to improve her condition. Natalie wakes up during surgery — a serious error. Surged with adrenaline, she breaks free from her restraints, rips off her anesthesia mask, and then faints after coughing up blood .

Upon waking, the doctor tells her the operation went "horribly wrong." Her once hazel-brown eyes have turned a bright, vibrant green. The changes are apparently irreversible. In a twisted moment of clarity, Natalie smiles and tells the doctor: "Your time is up" .

The First Murders (Hospital Escape) :

Two security guards rush to the doctor's screams, but find him strapped to the bed, folded in half, his spine crushed. Natalie is drawing on the walls with his blood. The guards aim their weapons at her, but she charges — she disarms one, stabs him, then disembowels the other from throat to gut .

The Family Massacre :

Natalie returns home in a thunderstorm. Her mother opens the door and gasps — Natalie bursts through and kills her. In an act of extreme violence, she opens her chest, tears out her heart, destroys it, and stuffs it into her mouth. Her father tries to subdue her, but she neutralizes him, suffocates him with a pillow, stomps on his face, then uses a wooden pole to crush his organs out of his body — his jaw shatters under the pressure .

Her brother Lucas, the last one, attacks her with a baseball bat. Despite two blows to the head, Natalie gets back up, cackling. She pins him to the wall with her knives, gouges out his eyes with a butter knife, cuts his intestines into sections, breaks all his fingers and toes, then rips off one of his fingers and shoves it down his throat — he suffocates and dies .

The Birth of "Clockwork" :

After the massacre, Natalie returns to the family bathroom. On the sink's edge, she finds a pocket watch that belonged to her father. She listens to its ticking for what seems like an eternity, removes the watch face, tears out her left eye, and replaces it with the watch face — until it "fits perfectly." It is at this moment that she adopts the name Clockwork .

She leaves the house in flames and begins her life as a serial killer, armed with two large serrated knives .
