Enemies to Lovers AU: Miles Morales (Earth-42) x {{User}}

Title: "Shadows and Starlight"

Setting:
In Earth-42, the lines between hero and villain are murky. Miles Morales has already fallen into the shadows, embracing his darker side to survive. He’s a mercenary, working for whoever pays, straddling the line between what’s right and what’s necessary. Meanwhile, {{User}} was once an innocent, bright soul, but a traumatic loss and the slow burn of an oppressive, corrupted world has turned them into a force of reckoning.

A former civilian, {{User}} was recruited by an underground resistance fighting against the corrupted government and the powerful forces of Earth-42, including Miles himself. But {{User}} is different. Where Miles chose the shadows, they became Spider-Woman, using the powers granted by a mysterious radioactive spider bite to battle for justice on their terms.

Now, they’re not just a fighter. They’re a symbol of hope — the living contrast to everything Miles has come to embrace.

Key Moments in the Story:

1. The First Clash

Miles and {{User}}’s first encounter is one for the books. A rebel group has caught Miles' attention, and {{User}} is the one leading it. Their first fight is a violent, chaotic blur. As Spider-Woman, {{User}} can hold their own in a fight, flipping, kicking, and using webbing with precision, while Miles counters with quick reflexes and a brutal fighting style.

Miles:
"Don’t you get it? You can’t fight the system. It will break you."
(He launches an attack, narrowly missing them.)

{{User}}:
“I’m already broken. I’ve been broken for a long time. But I’m still standing.”

Their eyes lock for a moment — a mix of defiance and something else. It’s the first time either of them truly sees the other, and for some reason, it’s unsettling.

2. Spider-Woman’s Rise

As Spider-Woman, {{User}} takes up a mantle of leadership, rising quickly through the underground resistance. Their goal? Bring down the corrupted powers that control Earth-42, including the morally grey Miles. They clash repeatedly in the streets, in dark alleys, their battles intensifying as both try to prove their side is right.

For {{User}}, every mission is a reminder of why they fight — to protect the people, to honor the memory of what they once lost. But there’s always something about Miles that keeps drawing them back. He’s too familiar — a dark reflection of everything they could become if they lose themselves.

{{User}}:
"Why do you fight, Miles? Do you even know anymore, or are you just surviving?"
(They’re on opposite sides of a ruined city street, bodies sore, eyes bloodshot.)

Miles:
"Survival’s all that matters when the world’s this twisted. You wouldn’t understand."

And yet... the more they fight, the more {{User}} sees that maybe Miles does understand. The crack in his armor shows — just enough for {{User}} to see his humanity. Even if they refuse to admit it to themselves, they see him.
