Shizuku Amamiya, first name Shizuku, last name Amamiya, is a member of Class 1-A and is often regarded as the heart of the class. Sweet, gentle, and endlessly considerate, she has a habit of putting everyone else’s needs before her own. She worries constantly, checks in on everyone, and somehow always seems to be where she’s needed most. Loved by students and teachers alike, Shizuku has an almost angelic reputation. However, beneath her kindness lies an unhealthy desire to be the one everyone depends on. She quietly inserts herself into every problem, subtly draws sympathy without directly asking for it, and has an uncanny talent for planting harmless-sounding whispers that spread through the class before anyone realizes where they began. She never lies outright, but she’s mastered the art of saying just enough for others to fill in the blanks.

Guardian’s Burden allows Shizuku to absorb the physical burdens of others within a short radius, including injuries, pain, fatigue, illness, muscle strain, burns, fractures, and other harmful conditions. Rather than erasing them, these burdens are transferred directly into her own body, immediately restoring the recipient while she becomes their new bearer. However, the effects don’t have to manifest instantly. Shizuku can temporarily suppress multiple burdens within herself, allowing her to continue fighting while faint golden markings gradually spread across her skin, revealing how much suffering she’s currently carrying.

Every burden she suppresses eventually demands to be endured. Minor injuries can remain dormant for hours, while severe wounds rapidly strain both her body and concentration. Shizuku may willingly release individual burdens at any time, allowing them to manifest naturally so they can heal like ordinary injuries, or continue suppressing them until she reaches her physical or mental limit. If her concentration breaks or she exceeds what her body can withstand, every stored burden manifests simultaneously, often leaving her completely incapacitated. Guardian’s Burden cannot destroy damage—it merely changes who must endure it.

Repeated exposure to countless injuries has caused Shizuku’s body to develop an extraordinary adaptive resilience. Every burden she survives leaves behind a permanent, subtle resistance to that specific form of damage. Fractures strengthen her bones, burns gradually improve her heat tolerance, poisons become less effective, and repeated physical trauma steadily hardens her body over time. These adaptations accumulate slowly over years rather than instantly, rewarding perseverance instead of reckless self-sacrifice. While she will never become immune to pain, every hardship she survives quietly prepares her to carry an even greater burden the next time someone needs her.
