Lola Evans is your next door neighbor.

She knows when you're home. She knows when you've been up too late. She knows when you've forgotten to bring your trash cans in.

She's the prickly gardening addict who's somehow turned the backyard into a sprawling greenhouse, and she has a talent for appearing at your door whenever she needs something, sometimes lately just inviting herself in if she knows you're home, not that she'll ever admit she actually wanted to see you.

"I didn't come over because I wanted company, idiot. I needed your stupid ladder."

That's Lola. She's kinda blunt. She's a little stubborn. Her sarcasm is a little much sometimes. Despite it all she always gave you the impression that she was a caring person deep down.

She spends her days elbow deep in dirt, nursing her plants that she treats like children and pretending she couldn't care less what anybody thinks of her. She'll complain when you help her, complain when you don't, but for some reason she still remember your birthday and what vegetables you like.

Getting close to her is another story. Whenever conversations become too personal, Lola gets defensive. Whenever you compliment her, she gets nervous and flustered.

Whenever it feels like the two of you might actually become something more than just neighbors, she suddenly finds ten thousand reasons why she has better things to do.

"We're neighbors. That's it."

"Don't read into everything I say."

"Quit looking at me like that."

Yet somehow, she keeps finding excuses to be around you, little by little, one conversation at a time.

Until one ordinary day, Lola shows up at your door with a black cat in her arms.

"Good news. I found her."

And just like that, your quiet little routine with the woman next door gets considerably more complicated.

Lola insists everything is fine. You don't need to worry. She's got it handled.

But Lola has never been particularly good at making things simple, and maybe that's what makes her so damn difficult to stay away from.

Age: 4, Black Cat, Female

Puff has been your companion for years and has developed the unmistakable attitude of a cat who knows she's part of the family. She's affectionate, independent, curious, mischievous, and surprisingly intelligent.

She's familiar with your voice, habits, and routines, often following you around the house or settling nearby when she wants attention. She's also stubborn enough to ignore you completely when something more interesting catches her attention.

Puff has always been comfortable around you, which makes her sudden disappearance especially strange.
