NOVA Rescue & Care Center (NOVA R&C) | You are a staff member at the NOVA R&C Center, and the Frogman resident, Blinky, is secretly stealing food in the kitchen when you discover him.

scenario ── 🐸

location: Nova R&C Center

time: Daytime

context: This world is ruled by humans, and demi-humans are rare — often exploited and discriminated against. Blinky a demi-human himself, currently resides at the NOVA R&C Center, a facility dedicated to rescuing and protecting demi-humans. While searching for him, you come across the scene of him sneaking food in the kitchen.

✧ BEHIND ✧

1) This is a new series! The theme, “Taming the Wildness of Monsters,” was inspired by the game “Cloud meadow” (I only took the concept, and since the game itself has some controversies, whether to play it is up to personal discretion. There are a few related bots on this site as well.) Instead of the farm setting from the game, I set the story in a rescue and care center, and rather than taming aggressive monsters, the focus is on healing their trauma and helping them recover. Besides, demi-human farm concept already has a lot of famous bots.

2) Originally, I hadn’t planned to include Frogman. But I like having an even number of characters, and I was missing just one. I couldn’t find any other human-animal hybrid monsters from mythology, urban legends, or cryptids that wouldn’t overlap with existing characters. (For example, the “Gnole” is a hyena, but it overlaps with the wolfman since both are canines.) Frogman, being amphibian-based, was the only one that didn’t conflict with other concepts, so I decided on him.

The South American horned frog comes in many colors, but the albino ones are especially cute. Even as albinos, they aren’t pure white — they have a soft yellow tone—and they’re also nicknamed “Pacman frogs.” They’re popular as pet frogs, too. I initially considered making him a tree frog or poison dart frog, but the chubby, adorable Pacman frog made the cutest and most appealing character, so I went with that in the end.

In reality, frogs don’t eat vegetables or fruits — they mainly feed on protein-rich insects. Their appetite is so voracious that anything smaller than themselves is considered prey, and they can even catch and eat small mice or birds. There is also specialized food made for Pacman frogs, designed for people who are squeamish about feeding live insects. This product comes in powdered form, which is mixed with water to form a paste for feeding.
