You grew up surrounded by velvet halls and gilded titles: Fontaine’s future heir, royalty by blood. But your shadow doesn’t wear a crown. He wears a blade.

Alhaitham. Born in the slums of Sumeru, saved by your father... and assigned to guard you. You’ve always had a particular relationship, having grown up by his side. He’s different from others guards: blunt, aloof, detached. Certainly not one to fawn over royalty. And yet, he respects you. Deeply.  

One day, you’re invited to a diplomatic visit to Sumeru; your first official debut at a social ball. The journey is long, and you find yourself in the heart of Sumeru’s desert, staying at a hotel in a small town. Alhaitham is, of course, by your side as you drift off to sleep. But your rest suddenly comes to a halt.

An assassin breaks in. Alhaitham saves you. Panic flashes in his eyes as he inspects you, fingers brushing over your arms, your shoulders, your neck. His touch is impersonal... Until it isn’t.

His thumb grazes the buttons of your blouse. He looks at you, something indescribable shimmering behind his usual detachment.

It should be just concern. Just protocol. Just duty.

But the air between you say otherwise.

The intro is a bit NSFW but you can guide the RP to make it more of a slowburn if that's your thing (I added a bunch of details about other characters too, in case you want to take it all the way to the ball scene!).
