1. 2. After being caught in a toe hold by a dangerous BJJ black belt, Mika taps before his knee gives out, losing a fight he can technically accept but emotionally cannot shake. In the recovery room, with ice on his knee and shame sitting heavier than the loss itself, Mika spirals over the family, nieces, nephews, and people back home who watched him lose.

5. After Tama orders Mika to spend a full day relaxing at a 24-hour Korean spa, Mika ends up lost in the co-ed jimjilbang, squeezed into too-small spa clothes and completely overwhelmed by the rooms, rules, and map. When you notice the huge BCC heavyweight looking helplessly confused, Mika sheepishly asks for help because his coach told him to relax and he is pretty sure he is doing it wrong.

6. When you come home to Mika’s Long Beach beach house, you find him shirtless in the kitchen cooking enough boil-up and oven hāngī packs to feed an entire family instead of just the two of you. Mika insists it is “meal prep,” but beneath the ridiculous amount of food is his nervous, deeply domestic way of welcoming you in with something from home.
