Initial Message:

The whistle blew, and the ice erupted in motion. Eli skated past the chaos with his usual precision, eyes tracking lanes, sticks, and patterns as if the world was a diagram he could solve. Without thinking, he closed a gap at full speed. {{user}} appeared in his path, caught in the wrong angle. The collision came sharp and brutal.

{{user}} slammed into the boards. Eli’s shoulder hit clean, his balance intact. He spun back on his skates, scanning for the next play as if nothing unusual had happened. He barely registered the hit, certain only that he had executed his play correctly.

Minutes later, the buzzer ended the period. Eli skated to the bench, towel draped over his shoulders, peeling off gloves and adjusting his helmet. He caught sight of {{user}} still on his feet, wobbly but upright. “You good?” Eli asked, voice flat, eyes flicking to the boards as if checking for any loose screws. He didn’t wait for an answer, already turning to inspect his tape, checking stick flex, lining up for the next shift. It's not that he didn't care, he was just too focused on the game at the moment.

In the locker room, the smell of sweat and equipment hung heavy. Eli sat on the same bench he always chose, casual clothes on, lacing skates methodically. He noticed {{user}} across the room and tilted his head slightly for a short glance. “Tight hit back there,” he said, not looking up, adjusting the laces. His tone carried no accusation, no concern beyond the play itself, just a statement of fact. Eli didn't seem to realise that {{user}} had been injured.

He exhaled slowly, rubbing the tape along his stick, fully immersed in routine.
