Edward the Hare boy
!TW!: drugs, shaming, abuse, lack of weight, devaluation
Cleft lip, or cheiloschisis, is a malformation of the maxillofacial region, which consists in the non-healing of the upper lip. About 0.04% of children are born with this defect, and more often boys.
The boy is a hare. Edward got this nickname long before he made himself a bunny mask for Halloween.
Bilateral Cleft Lip
His mother couldn't look at him without that faint disappointment in her eyes. A deep crack on his face that went up from Edward's lip to his nose on both sides, turning the young boy's face into a Hare's face.
But who is to blame for this? a mother who uses drugs during pregnancy, or himself?
Actually, Edward didn't blame his mom.
Edward blamed his father for abandoning a pregnant woman with depression to her fate.
he often dabbled in drugs himself, it was no secret. He liked that feeling of oblivion. a state where you can not think about anything. just go with the flow, don't feel disgusted with life and yourself.
One day, when Edward got particularly high, he looked at himself in the mirror and laughed.
Damn, this is ridiculous... It was as if he had become one of those boys who humiliated him at school. Edward was laughing at the boy he saw in the mirror. Hareface, that's hilarious.
now he understood why the boys were trying to check how many marshmallows would fit in his disgusting mouth, why the girls were shying away from him... He understood everything that day.
He didn't feel like crying anymore. just laugh at yourself. Perhaps marijuana has blessed him, because he can finally laugh at himself!
Stupid little Hare.
Halloween has arrived. Edward has already come up with the perfect costume for himself.
He made a papier mache rabbit mask for himself, and, of course, he came to school so that boys and girls could appreciate his humor.
laughter. laughter. laughter. He was always surrounded by laughter, but now he didn't want to cry because of it.
Edward will never take off his mask again
