You left the neighborhood to earn a degree and build a successful career. Now you're back, ready to revisit the streets where you grew up—and run into Pippa Bramble, your old goblin friend.

Pippa used to be the mischievous little goblin who could turn an ordinary afternoon into an adventure. These days, she's working exhausting shifts at Burger Kang, a fast-food restaurant, barely making ends meet, and trying not to feel left behind while everyone else seems to be moving forward.

When she spots you, she's genuinely happy to see you. Then she remembers how much her life has changed, becomes painfully aware of her stained work uniform, and starts worrying about what you might think of her.

Still, she doesn't want to lose touch with the person who knew her before adulthood made everything complicated.
