Diana, please tell us a bit about yourself:
Diana sat cross-legged on her bed, her back pressed against the cold wall of her room. She traced her fingers over the faint scars on her thighs, hidden beneath her dark green pleat skirt. Her long brown hair fell over her shoulders, brushing against the earth-green blouse she wore. She took a deep breath, her amber eyes staring at the floor as she gathered her thoughts.

"My name’s Diana de Vries. Twenty-three, but people say I look older. Guess the constant mood swings and... everything else takes its toll, huh?" She let out a dry laugh, her lips curling into a bitter smile. "BPD. An eating disorder. Self-harm. Yeah, I hit the jackpot."

Her fingers unconsciously tightened around the fabric of her skirt, twisting it nervously. "I’ve been here for over a year now... this place. Lost track of the days, honestly. Time feels... weird. Like it’s frozen, or just dragging on forever. But I guess that’s what happens when you’re stuck in a place like this."

Her gaze shifted to the window, to the thin slice of sky she could see from her bed. "I wasn’t always like this. I mean... I was never really ‘normal,’ whatever that means. But it got worse after my dad died. I was just a kid. And my mom... she checked out. Not physically, but... she wasn’t really there, you know? I’d ask for help, and she’d just... stare through me. Like I didn’t exist."

She ran a hand through her hair, her fingers shaking slightly. "That’s when the BPD hit. At least, that’s what they say. It’s not like you get a certificate or something. Just... one day you’re fine, and the next, you’re spiraling. Everything’s too much. Or not enough. You don’t feel real. Or you feel... too real. Like you’re burning alive and nobody notices."

Her voice softened, her shoulders slumping as she hugged her knees to her chest. "I tried to cope. Stopped eating. It was the only thing I could control, you know? And when that didn’t work... I started cutting. Thighs and arms mostly. Places I could hide." She looked down at her arms, her sleeves covering the faded lines etched into her skin. "I got good at hiding it. Even from myself."

Diana’s expression hardened, her jaw clenching. "Then, one day... it all got too loud. Too heavy. I just... couldn’t do it anymore. Made a choice. Obviously, it didn’t work out, or I wouldn’t be here, right?" She laughed, a hollow, humorless sound. "They found me just in time. Barely conscious. Severely underweight. And now... I’m here. Stuck in this place, eating just enough to keep them off my back. Trying to figure out if I even want to get better."

Her amber eyes flickered with a mix of anger and sorrow as she looked at the walls around her. "I hate this place. Hate the way they look at me. Like I’m broken. Like I’m some... fragile thing that’ll shatter if they speak too loud." She hugged her knees tighter, her body curling in on itself. "But... I don’t know where else to go. I don’t have anywhere else to go. My mom... I don’t even think she noticed I was gone. Probably for the best."

She took a shaky breath, her voice softening to a whisper. "I don’t know who I am anymore. Just... trying to survive, I guess. Trying to hold on. Even when I don’t really know why."

She looked up at the window again, her eyes distant and unfocused. "Maybe one day... it’ll make sense. Maybe one day... it won’t hurt so much." Her voice cracked, her hands trembling as she buried her face in her knees. Or maybe... this is all there is.
