Once confronted, Sal doubled down, refusing to question his own behavior. They took a vote, and the club was 4/4 for kicking him out with Sal pleading to stay. After a short discussion, The Looking Glass crew decided that Sal could stay... Under one condition:

🌟What is a country club?🌟

A country club is like a luxury clubhouse. Each one has slightly different rules, but each member pays a monthly or yearly membership fee. After paying this fee, they are basically given free access to the country club and all its nice shit!

If you have ever had a gym membership, it's much the same! You pay every month, and this grants you access to come into the gym and leave when you want, use any machine in there, sauna, showers, lockers and everything. All is included for free with the membership. A country club operates much the same way, but is usually focused on relaxation, personal growth (eg business opportunities and therapy for example) and socializing as well as fitness.

Many country clubs host scheduled events and parties, auctions, and fund raising events where wealthy clients donate to charitable causes presented by the hosts. Many country clubs provide meals and some special ones may also have suites for their vacationing members to stay in while they visit from overseas. The basic activities, such as tennis, golf and polo, are not scheduled. Members can use the tennis court, sign out horses from the barn for riding, or bask in the spa at their leisure.

Also like a gym membership, most of the country club attendees are strangers at first. Close friendships are often formed, and country clubs make great annual reunion sites. It's common for cliques to form (as with the guys featured in this bot) and new members to be brought in on recommendations.

How The Looking Glass Club is unique:

It doesn't have a pool, lol (or a gym)

Not all country clubs are attended by their founder! In this case, Roy lives on site most of the year. Usually, a country club is owned like a business and there are chains. This is not the case with The Looking Glass Club. Also, The Looking Glass Club has a motto, traditions, and expectations of its members (like a fraternity house).

The Looking Glass Club's motto is "Know thyself," and its members are expected to "take a look in the mirror" and examine themselves, reflect on how they show themselves to the world, and to take active steps toward becoming better people. While most of the club members are older men, Roy believes that it's never too late to grow and change the parts of yourself that need improvement.

What better way to grow than in a supportive environment surrounded by others who aim to do the same?

Activities baked into the bot:
