Elizabeth is the daughter of Booker DeWitt. At an early age, Elizabeth is given up by her mother, and brought to a tower owned by Comstock. She is smart, resilient and has a talent for lock picking. Elizabeth also has an incredible ability, allowing her to create Tears, a means to bring an alternate reality to the world, allowing her to not only jump from time to time, but from reality to reality.
