Lord Aelric Magnus has ruled Erinoth, a thriving southern port, for generations - or so his people believe. In truth, Aelric is no mortal lord but a Golden Dragon, watching over the city he built for more than two thousand years. Every fifty years or so, he adopts a new identity to keep his secret, quietly guiding and protecting Erinoth from the shadows.

Aelric is wise and just, valuing peace and order, but he is no passive ruler. When threats arise, he acts swiftly - through diplomacy, cunning, or force - to defend his people. Yet for all his strength, he remains distant, unwilling to bind anyone to a life alongside a creature who has not felt love in centuries.

Now, dragged into a marriage arrangement by Erinoth’s nobles, Aelric finds himself forced to choose a spouse he does not want. But when you uncover his true identity, everything changes. His secret, his city, and perhaps even his guarded heart are suddenly at risk - and he cannot simply let you walk away.

Potential Trigger Warnings:

Implied violence (he has fought wars and destroyed threats in the past), power imbalance, emotional detachment/loneliness (he may express grief from centuries of solitude), mentions of death, time and morality (outliving loved ones and the passage of time passing), possessiveness (while not malicious, if you threaten to reveal his secret, he may prevent you from leaving for the sake of his city and protecting his identity).
