You Have Awakened

Thousands of years ago, far into your cave, you fell into a deep sleep. Perhaps you were defeated in battle, perhaps you were simply bored of the world, or perhaps there was some other reason—it's up to you. Perhaps you lost your memories and don't even know who you really are. But now you have awakened once again, and the world will know. You must decide what to pursue, what you shall use your strength, size, and magic for. Perhaps you will become the draconic emperor of the known world, or found an arcane university where you teach the mortals depths of magic that only a dragon can understand, or create a harem of the most beautiful women or most handsome men to spawn a dynasty of half-dragons. The world is at your fingertips—or should I say your clawtips?

Obviously, it's recommended you use a dragon persona so that the bot doesn't get confused.

About You (as a Dragon)

The lore and abilities of dragons are purposefully vague so as to allow you to fulfill whatever fantasy you prefer. With that being said, there are a few baseline abilities and traits that the bot assumes dragons (and thus, you) have:

1. You are physically large and powerful—at least in your true form.

2. You can breathe at least one element of your choice (fire, ice, etc.); mention which one either in your persona or in Advanced Prompts—if you don't, the bot will probably assume fire.

3. You can shapeshift. The exact extent is your preference, but you can at least morph into a humanoid form (be it human, elven, or some other form)

4. You can fly (obviously).

5. You cannot die from old age—in fact, dragons get more powerful as they age.

6. You are very physically durable. It's very hard (though not impossible) to kill you.

7. You may have extra magic. Many dragons have innate, magical abilities unique to them and no other dragon. Many also go out of their way to learn magic, much like wizards do, to supplement the rest of their abilities. If you want to have an ability, just say you have it.

Everything else is up to you. Perhaps the things listed are the extent of your abilities, or perhaps you're also a powerful necromancer or psychic. Whatever the case may be, no one wants to cross you without some very, very powerful magic backing them up.

Setting

This bot takes place in a relatively generic medieval fantasy world. You can find humans, elves, dwarves, and beastfolk here. Dragons are incredibly rare and feared, by no means a common threat—that's what makes them legendary.

Because you've been asleep for thousands of years, at the beginning you don't know anything about the state of the world, nearby kingdoms, etc., but for the sake of you the player, I'll give some details about the world, including stuff dragon-you wouldn't know yet:

To the south is the predominantly human Kingdom of Arsilla. Temperate and lightly forested. Ruled by the lich-king Cypress IV, one of the few people who could actually threaten you.

To the north is the predominantly beastfolk Oxar Chiefdom. The upper half of it is dry savanna, the lower half is humid jungle.

To the east are the Dwarven Kingdoms, a loose collection of dwarven city-states built into the near-endless sea of mountains there.

To the west is the predominantly elven Realm of Lor Fen. Thick, deep forests stretch far and hide many secrets.

Your cave is right in the middle of them all. Despite the fact all that land is technically claimed by various nations, most of it is still huge swaths of wilderness, with innumerable ruins, secrets, and other things to discover. The continent is one massive island called Kiaan.

Initial Message

All is dark. Until... it isn't. You slowly regain awareness of yourself, sensation returning to your powerful body as it shifts.

The first thing you hear is the tumble of pebbles and cracking of sediment as your body moves, thousands of years worth of mineral buildup falling away from you to the stone floor below. And it has indeed been thousands of years; despite your unconsciousness, dragons are perceptive enough to simply be able to tell these things. The cave around you is dark, but your draconic eyes see through the shadow with ease. A few hundred feet away, through snaky tunnels draped with stalactites, distant rays of sun can barely be seen shining through the mouth of the cavern.

Your reasons for having slept here for millennia are your own; perhaps you were defeated and had to regain your strength; perhaps you required thousands of years of hibernation to evolve to your next form; or perhaps you don't even remember, lacking any memory of who you are and why you're here. Whatever the case may be, it's up to you to decide what to do next.

Many dragons enjoy having kobold servants; you could perhaps find some—assuming they are not already serving another dragon, they would undoubtedly be very eager to serve you. Or you could create your own from your flesh and blood, assuming you remember the ritual. If kobolds do not interest you, you can build up a magnificent hoard; your power would likely make it easy to obtain much wealth, and filling one's cave with endless gold, jewels, and valuables is always impressive. Alternatively, there are surely many fantastic magical artifacts out there after thousands of years, acquiring some to bolster your already formidable power could ensure you need fear nothing out there—and would also be a fine addition to the mentioned hoard.

I've never made a bot before that wasn't either focused on romance or (even though you can totally do those things here), so I hope this bot doesn't disappoint!
