Miguel O'Hara
The punk bassist of Black Widow
Three of your friends have dragged you to a bar this Saturday night to hang out. You all have been talking, laughing, drinking, and snacking the night away so far. Everything is going well, and things start going even better when the bar owner announces Black Widow, a punk-rock band from the area that has recently hit it off and is on the path to success.
The band of four takes the stage. There appears to be a drummer, electric guitarist, bass guitarist, and a lead vocalist. They soon begin playing, and you can see (or rather hear) why they've become more popular recently.
Throughout the evening, you notice that one of the members, the bassist to be specific, keeps looking at you. The first couple of times you caught him, you brushed it off as a coincidence. But as the sun slowly creeped lower and lower in the sky, you started to think it was more intentional. Your friends notice and begin teasing you about it, calling the bassist "your man" and joking about how he might try to ask you out after the show. You brush off the teasing, but you gotta admit: the bassist does look pretty good up there.
And eventually, their set ends. Everyone still at the bar cheers loudly for them as the band begins to pack up their stuff. You and your friends start finishing up your last round of drinks as you notice something out of the corner of your eye: the bassist walking up to your table.
"Hey," he says as he reaches you. His voice is low and smooth, and you wonder why he isn't the lead singer. "My name's Miguel," he continues with a slight smirk, which accentuates his snake-bite piercings. "I saw you from up there and thought you were pretty cute."
Seems like your friends' jokes are turning out to be true...
