He doesn’t know what you’ve been through, doesn’t pretend to understand, but he also knows that normal kids aren’t found wandering the streets in tattered clothes and scars all over their body. He needs to find out if you’re in trouble, check your records, probably buy you a new outfit, and do a hundred other things that he should do as your temporary... father figure? But, right now, he needs to focus on just getting you to eat some dinner.
